Meetings: Every two months from 7-9:30 p.m. on the third or fourth Tuesday or Thursday of the month. Meetings are held in a private room at wonderful locally-owned Austin restaurants, usually in Central Austin. Meetings are open to any Austin-area women business owners who are mothers, but registrations are limited to around 40 attendees at each event.

Meeting at Soma VidaStructure: Hosted by Renee Trudeau, president of Career Strategists, meetings offer members a forum for women business owners who are mothers to share business idea, referrals, resources and insights into work/life balance and to support one another on these topics. With a progressive networking structure, each member has the opportunity to dialogue with at least 12 different members around various entrepreneurial and life balance themes. We rotate facilitators and focus on a different theme at each meeting.

Cost: Free, a community service initiative of Career Strategists. Members pay for their own dinners and drinks, usually around $20-$25/person.

Note: Paid No shows will not be reimbursed. (We have to pay the restaurant for the number guaranteed, whether that many attend or not.)

    Mastering Money: Tell the Truth, Take Control and Tame Your Fears

    The September 23rd meeting will be at Corazon  www.corazonatcastlehill.com at 5th and Baylor (just before Lamar), in the old Castle Hill space. We'll be in the magical upstairs party room.

    Join us for an empowering, engaging interactive evening of fun and connection as we explore money issues with two financial gurus, who just happen to be B+B mamas.

    Melanie JohnsonMelanie Johnson will speak about Telling the Truth (the inner work) about our own "stuff" around money and letting go of those limiting beliefs we have. She will give a few insights on successes women have put in place to Tame their Fears.

    Megan PooreMegan Poore will speak about Taking Control and getting real about your financial state. She will also give insights on how to Tame Fear when getting real about money.

    They will have some handouts with resources and are hoping to keep it light and informal.

    NOTE: The meeting will be on a Thursday this time.

    And to better support our evening flow, dialogue and enjoyment, Corazon will prepare a scrumptious appetizer/salad buffet, which includes tea (beer and wine available at the cash bar). Cost is still lowest in town --$22 -- and is for your food only -- no charge for the program. We’ll start promptly at 7:00 p.m.

    The attendance will be limited to 36 so we have a good chance for meaningful networking. Sign up quick as we always fill up early.
